This Is The Safest Casino in Las Vegas, According to Visitors

Las Vegas, Nevada, is one of the most visited places in the world. Millions flock to the city of sin every year to gamble at casinos, attend sporting and music events and just soak up the atmosphere and buzz.

And at Casinos.com, we love casinos so much that we often dive into the statistics to find out what separates one casino from another, which has led us down the path to finding out which Las Vegas casino is the safest, according to real life visitors who have left reviews.

To do this, our research and analytics teams scraped review data on each of the casinos listed above related to danger-related keywords. So, for example, reviews that had one instance of 'violent', aggressive', 'scary', 'dangerous' and other terms that could signal a more threatening environment.

We then calculated the percentage compared to the number of reviews to establish a safety-rating percentage. Below are the full results:

Which Is The Safest Casino in Las Vegas?

Top 5 Safest Casinos in Las Vegas

Let’s start by saying this, we can’t exactly definitively say that one casino is safer than another. In fact, casinos employ large scale security and keep a watchful eye over all of their patrons, so no matter where you go, you can likely rest assured you will be completely safe. However, that’s not the point of this article and we didn’t spend so much time doing the research to just leave it at that…

So, without further adieu, the title of safest casino goes to the Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, with just 0.27% of reviews featuring keywords associated with danger, which was by far the lowest of any other casino in the city.

Out of 18,896 reviews, just 23 featured the words ‘scary’, ‘scared’ and ‘unsafe’. For reference, the highest recorded number of these three keywords was 530, and even though that casino had triple the number of total reviews, it still represents a huge statistical decrease for the Steve Wynn owned property.

Next up was The Mirage, with just 0.36% of reviews citing keywords associated with danger. Much like the Encore at Wynn, the presence of keywords such as ‘scary’ and ‘scared’ were low, with ‘dangerous’ also featuring just 18 times out of a much larger sample size of 31,502 reviews.

In third place was another win for Steve Wynn, with the Wynn Las Vegas at 0.38% - giving the Wynn brand two out of the top three spots. Following up was the Palazzo at the Venetian, with Caesars Palace rounding out the top five safest casinos in Las Vegas.

Methodology:

Casinos.com utilized Tripadvisor reviews to do an in-depth analysis of phrases associated with danger to determine the most 'dangerous' in Las Vegas. We calculated the percentage of threat-rated mentions in the total Tripadvisor reviews and calculated the percentages for each establishment.

Only casinos with a minimum of 5,000 reviews were selected to ensure a fair sample size.

  • Keywords tracked: unsafe, scary, scared, aggressive, brawl, confrontation, violent, violence

Data was collected and tallied up to March 26, 2024.
