Castle Bingo has become one of the first bingo operators to install the new Collider Calling Podiums, marking a notable step forward in how bingo games are presented and experienced on the floor.
The installation places Castle Bingo at the forefront of a shift toward more visual, interactive calling systems that aim to enhance both player engagement and overall atmosphere.
Collider is a bingo calling podium designed to serve as a central visual feature during gameplay. It combines animated graphics, a virtual ball blower, and a retro-inspired aesthetic to modernise the traditional calling setup while retaining familiar elements of the game.
Unlike standard podiums, Collider places the action directly on screen, with animated bingo balls and dynamic number displays designed to build anticipation before each call.
For players, the most immediate impact is visual. Animated, coloured bingo balls move across the screen before each number is called, creating a sense of momentum and anticipation that is especially effective during fast-paced sessions such as MCB games.
The design leans on nostalgia, echoing the look and motion of classic ball blowers, while presenting information in a clear, modern format. Numbers are displayed prominently and dynamically, improving visibility and helping players keep track during busy sessions.
Even between calls, the on-screen motion keeps attention focused on the game, turning the calling area into a focal point rather than a functional necessity.
From an operator perspective, Collider is designed to deliver impact without adding complexity. The podium enhances the overall atmosphere on the floor, helping clubs differentiate their offering and create a more polished presentation.
Castle Bingo reports the system has operated reliably since installation, with stable performance and minimal technical intervention required. The clean visuals and structured animations also contribute to a more professional look, aligning with player expectations while preserving the character of traditional bingo.
Support from ECM Systems is positioned as a key part of the rollout, with ongoing customer service intended to ensure smooth operation and quick resolution of any issues.
Beyond gameplay, Collider functions as a visual anchor that can support marketing and promotion. Its animated display makes it well suited for social media clips, in-club promotion, and showcasing upgrades to existing players.
For clubs looking to refresh their bingo environment without changing the core game, the podium offers a way to modernise presentation while keeping the experience familiar.
With Collider now live at Castle Bingo, other operators have a working example of how updated calling technology can influence both atmosphere and engagement. For venues seeking to modernise their calling setup and add visual energy to the floor, Collider represents a clear next step.

Most of my career was spent in teaching including at one of the UK’s top private schools. I left London in 2000 and set up home in Wales raising four beautiful children. I enrolled at University where I studied Photography and film and gained a Degree and subsequently a Masters Degree. In 2014 I helped launch a new local newspaper and managed to get front and back page as well as 6 filler pages on a weekly basis. I saw that journalism was changing and was a pioneer of hyperlocal news in Wales. In 2017 I started one of the first 24/7 free independent news sites for Wales. Having taken that to a successful business model I was keen for a new challenge. Joining the company is exciting for me especially as it is a new role in Europe. I am keen to establish myself and help others to do the same.
