You know what, dear readers, I blame myself. After years of bashing Pragmatic Play, someone must have read my reviews and decided to make a change. Sadly, it has made the developer even worse. The introduction of Fat Panda as a partnering studio has produced games that are worse than those solely produced by Pragmatic Play. Case and point, the release of the slot Jelly Candy.
While the next five minutes of reading this slot review will be of no benefit to your life, I invite you to join me as I venture into the diabetic world of Jelly Candy by Pragmatic Play and Fat Panda. I will be discussing what very little there is to this retro-style game, and I mean little. How it performs, what the settings are, and the rules of play.
The free slots demo is available, but comes at a "price" of having to make a free membership with Casinos.com.

The appeal of Jelly Candy might come more from its programming than its gameplay. The casino slot is made with a medium volatility setting. As a result, the payouts are more balanced and will range from low to very high. The Return to Player rating is up to 96.52%, a standard score for the game’s payback probability. The jackpot, if you can call it that, is 375x the bet value. Now, the price of betting ranges from $0.05 to $250. If you are daft enough to bet the maximum cost per spin, then the jackpot you’re playing for is pathetic $93,750. This makes Jelly Candy by Fat Panda possibly the worst ‘value for money game’ ever produced. It’s so far beyond a rip-off that US lottery companies were quoted, calling this game “impressive” and “how did they get away with it?”
Once you have selected the cost of your bet, the game begins with the press of the Spin button. With only three rows and reels, the game only hosts five paylines. To win, you must match three symbols across one or more paylines. These run horizontally across the top, middle, and bottom rows. You then have two diagonal paylines, top left to bottom right and bottom left to top right.
Win or lose from your spin, repeat the process, spinning the reels until you wish to stop. You can adjust your bet value at any point before you play your next spin.
The Jelly Candy slot only has one feature, which doesn’t add much excitement to an already dull game.
Multiplier: Above the gaming reels is a multiplier reel. This comes with x2, x3, and x5 multipliers. Upon spinning the gaming reels, the multipliers will also spin on a horizontal reel. The middle multiplier that lands is added to any win you form on the gaming reels. Now, it is possible for a blank space to land, meaning no multiplier is added. Up to x15 can be achieved if you land three wins on three paylines.
Jelly Candy is the result of some lazy ideas. Retro-style slots have never been high on my list anyway. I find them to be lacking in a lot of things. The fact that this game doesn’t even come with a standard free spins bonus kills it for me. The whole gameplay is poor, and the value for money element is staggeringly poor. Do not put money into this game, is my advice, you’re better off investing in a window cleaning service run by cats.
That said, the free demo game is available and can be played with any iOS or Android device. If you are brave enough to play this game, feel free to leave a comment as a warning for other players.
