Crown Sydney Casino is the new hot spot for gaming enthusiasts Down Under. With its VIP gaming area fully operational since October 2022, expect premium gameplay. The Crystal Room on the main gaming floor boasts 160 tables and 66 electronic machines for your gaming pleasure. Plus, there are 30 private salons on the Mahogany floor for VIP players.

The minimum bet is AU$20, which is high. Here's the kicker: membership to the Crown Rewards program is free, giving you access to all the gaming areas. If you're a Black or Platinum member, you're in luck, as you get exclusive access to the Crystal Room. I was happy to add this above average brick and mortar gambling site to my growing list of land-based casinos I've visited.

Crown Sydney Casino Overview

Crown Sydney Casino is located in Barangaroo, Sydney. It's easy to get to, with various transportation options readily available. You can use public transport like buses or trains if you don't want to rent a car.

Crown Sydney boasts a striking architectural design, featuring a modern and sleek exterior that stands out in the Barangaroo skyline. I wanted to visit as soon as I glimpsed the tall silvery structure from a long way off. The casino offers a Sky Deck, and the panoramic views from up there are to die for. It was so relaxing looking at Sydney's iconic harbour while enjoying a drink from up there. You'll find a choice of cocktails, spirits, beer, or non-alcoholic beverages at its bars.

There's also an array of fine dining options at Crown Sydney, featuring world-class restaurants with renowned chefs offering diverse cuisines to suit every palate.

Crown Sydney is large and spacious. I found multiple gaming floors, including the Crystal Room and the more exclusive Mahogany floor. With 160 tables, electronic machines, and private salons, there's plenty of room to enjoy the VIP gaming experience.

The hotel at Crown Sydney is luxurious, offering upscale accommodations for guests. With elegant rooms, modern amenities, and impeccable service, it ensures a comfortable and indulgent stay. I experienced luxury and sophistication throughout my stay at the casino hotel.

As I entered the Crown Sydney lobby, I was met with the standard checks and screenings, but what truly caught my eye was the breathtaking sight of an enormous Czech-made crystal chandelier hanging overhead. It stretched nearly 8 meters and shimmered with 396 crystal blades, casting a mesmerizing glow throughout the lobby.

Standing tall at 275 meters, Crown Sydney proudly claimed its title as the tallest hotel in Sydney, its exterior adorned with over 8,000 glass panels that sparkled in the sunlight. Inside, the elegance continued with a sophisticated blend of stone and marble textures, with over 50 different types of stone meticulously incorporated into the hotel's design.

Crown Sydney surpassed expectations when it comes to accommodation. My stay in the executive king suite was nothing short of luxurious. From the plush furnishings to the luxurious amenities, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure a memorable stay.

Staff and Dealers

The casino staff at Crown Sydney are friendly and helpful. When I needed directions to the Crystal Room on my first visit, a staff member walked me there, ensuring I didn't get lost. They even offered suggestions for dining options nearby.

The Crown Sydney Casino dealers are knowledgeable about the games. While playing Blackjack, the dealer helped me understand the rules when I was unsure about splitting pairs which enabled me to make the right decision.

Smoking Areas

Crown Sydney Casino is exempted from smoking bans on not just one, but four separate floors. Smoking is allowed in the "High Roller" areas on the ground floor, level one of the casino, and levels 29 and 39 of Crown Towers.

Now, here's something interesting - Crown happens to be the only Poker machine venue in Victoria where smoking is permitted. Pretty crazy, right?

Bars and Restaurants

Crown Sydney offers a plethora of culinary delights, each more tempting than the last. From the chic Nobu to the classic charm of a'Mare by Alex Pavoni, there's something to suit every palate. I found myself indulging in delicacies like honey-glazed Glacier 51 Patagonian Toothfish Puffs and savouring every bite.

But the experience doesn't end there. Crown Sydney is also a haven for relaxation, with its Crown Spa offering a sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the city. From the Aqua Retreat area to bespoke treatments like the Subtle Energies facial, I found myself drifting into a state of blissful tranquillity.

Customer Service

Getting help at Crown Sydney is easy. Once, when my card got stuck in a machine, I called customer service. The rep quickly arrived, fixed the issue, and even showed me how to prevent it.

ATMs & Cashless Gaming

Yes, there are ATMs in the casino. I found about four ATMs spread across the gaming floor, providing convenient access to cash for players.

Crown Sydney offers cashless gaming options. You can use your Crown Rewards card to play without cash. On my second day, I forgot my wallet but could still play using my rewards card. So, you can conveniently enjoy the games without worrying about carrying physical cash.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Yes, the casino is wheelchair accessible. There are ramps and wide corridors, making it easy to move around. The staff are also helpful and readily available to guide players to accessible areas.

Crown Sydney is large and spacious. I found multiple gaming floors, including the Crystal Room and the more exclusive Mahogany floor. With 160 tables, electronic machines, and private salons, there's plenty of room to enjoy the VIP gaming experience.

Games at the Crown Sydney Casino

I found a total of 160 tables and 66 electronic tables in the Crystal Room, plus 30 private salons on the Mahogany floor. Remember, there are no poker machines, and bets start at AU$20. Best part? Membership to the Crown Rewards program is free, offering access to gaming areas, especially for Black and Platinum members.

From the Casino Games page, Crown Sydney offers a variety of classic games like Baccarat, Roulette, Sic Bo, Blackjack, Ultimate Texas Hold 'Em, and Mississippi Stud. Sadly, I couldn't find slot machines at the gaming hall.

Here’s how it went down as I explored the various game selections at The Crown:

Table Games

Whether you prefer Blackjack, Craps, Roulette, or Baccarat, Crown Sydney Casino has got it all. But what's cool is that the gaming establishment offers unique twists on popular Poker games and progressive table games. Whether you're a casual player or a high roller, there's something for everyone.

The Poker room also features everything from low-stakes cash games to high-stakes tournaments, including big events like the Aussie Millions Poker Championships.

Electronic Table Games

Crown Sydney offers Electronic Table Games (ETGs) like Roulette and Blackjack. You can place bets using chips on the touch screen. Each game round starts when the wagering period begins. You can select the table to wager on from your terminal. The casino sets minimum and maximum wager limits for each game. Cashless options are available for adding funds to your account. When leaving the game, you can transfer the remaining credits back to your membership card.

Popular Games

I had a blast at Crown Sydney! The hotel's grand entrance wowed me, and the dining options were top-notch. But what got my heart racing were the Poker games. From the $1/$1 No Limit Holdem to the $20/$40 Limit Holdem/Omaha, there's something for every player. The daily tournaments added to the excitement!

Game Quality and Betting Limits

Yes, the games at Crown Sydney are in great condition. While there are no exclusive games, the casino offers a variety of popular options found in many casinos. From my tour of the casino, the minimum betting amount is AU$20. However, each table and gaming room has individual betting limits.

Besides the luxurious hotel at Crown Sydney, the building boasts several top-rated amenities like The Crown Spa. I visited and got massages and facials and it was a purely blissful experience. The pool area features cabanas and floating beds for pure relaxation.

I managed to squeeze in a workout at the gym and even hit the tennis court for some fun. The casino also offers the Crown PlaySafe Centre where you can seek support for gambling concerns confidentially.

Food and Drinks

There are 14 food and drink spots to choose from at Crown Sydney, ranging from fancy fine dining to cosy bars. If you're in the mood for some drinks, Hickory Bar at Woodcut is the place to be. When it comes to dinner, Nobu is where it's at.

Epicurean is the go-to spot for breakfast, with a buffet spread that'll make your head spin (in a good way, of course). Nine different kitchens constantly dish out diverse cuisines, from Western to Asian. Get this – breakfast is included in your stay! But if you're not staying over, you can still swing by for a brekkie for just $48.

The food doesn't stop there. Lunch and dinner at Epicurean are equally a delightful affair, starting from $88 and $145, respectively. Now, let's talk Italian. A’Mare, brought to you by Alessandro Pavoni, is on a mission to be the best classical Italian joint in Australia. They even make pesto right at your table – how cool is that?

Keep your eyes peeled for Core as well, Clare Smyth's much-anticipated restaurant that opened at Crown Sydney in the summer of 2021. They've also got all sorts of spirits like Bacardi, Captain Morgan, and Don Julio tequila. If you're into liqueurs, they've got Kahlúa and Baileys too – talk about options!

But wait, there's more! Beer lovers rejoice because they've got Crown Lager and some international favourites like Asahi and Corona. Cider fans can enjoy a glass of Pure Blonde Organic Apple Cider to quench their thirst.

Now, onto the cocktails! You can sip on classic favourites like Aperol Spritz and Long Island Iced Tea or get fancy with martinis like The Trillium. Don't worry if you're not into alcohol – they've got non-alcoholic options like Virgin Mojito and Virgin Bloody Mary to keep you refreshed.

The casino offers designated parking areas for VIP guests, providing added convenience and accessibility. Overall, the casino's location and parking facilities make it easy for visitors to access and enjoy their time at the venue.
